I’ve always loved the anticipation of meeting someone for the first time. There’s a little excitement beforehand, maybe a few nerves, and then we finally meet and those usually disappear quickly. I’m naturally warm and affectionate, I love to laugh, and I’m probably a little naughtier than you might expect at first. I have a sweet side, a playful side, and once I’m comfortable with someone, you’re going to get a little bit of everything. I like talking when we first meet. Not because I’m trying to interview you or figure you out—I just genuinely like getting to know the person I’m spending time with. Tell me about your day, tell me something funny, tell me whatever you feel like talking about. I think conversation makes it easier for both of us to settle in and get comfortable with each other. And I’m not trying to rush through that part. I actually enjoy it. Sometimes we’ll laugh about something completely ridiculous. Sometimes the conversation goes somewhere neither of us expected. Sometimes we end up talking longer than either of us realized. That’s part of getting to know somebody, and I think it makes everything else feel much more natural. I don’t like feeling rushed, and I don’t want you to feel that way either. When we’re together, that’s where my attention is. I’m not mentally moving on to whatever I have to do afterward or trying to hurry things along. We have our time, and I want us to actually enjoy it. I want our time to feel special, because it is. You chose to spend it with me, and I think that deserves more than simply watching the minutes go by. And hopefully, when you leave, you’re smiling. Maybe something about our time pops into your head later and makes you smile again. And if one time turns into more than once, I’d say we did something right.I’m discreet, I value mutual respect, and I’m thoughtful about who I meet. Nothing terribly complicated.
